Meet Marissa.
Marissa has always been deeply interested in health and wellness. This passion initially led her to pursue a career in the Nutrition industry, where she later became a Holistic Nutritionist after graduating from the Canadian School of Natural Nutrition.
After a few years in the industry – and one pandemic later – Marissa took an unexpected but rewarding detour into an entirely different world, working in traffic control and pipeline construction with her husband. Living and working all over Northern BC and Alberta, these experiences fuelled a lot of personal growth for Marissa that ultimately allowed her to pursue her true calling: massage therapy.
Marissa is drawn to massage therapy because it perfectly blends the science of human anatomy with the artistry of hands-on care. She finds joy in connecting with clients and providing tailored care through meaningful and therapeutic touch.
Her approach to massage primarily integrates elements of:
- General Swedish Massage, for relaxation
- Myofascial release, to address tension and fascial restrictions
- Therapeutic movement, to encourage balance and mobility.
Marissa believes in creating a warm, welcoming space where clients can let go, feel supported, and reconnect with their bodies. For Marissa, massage therapy is about more than just addressing the muscles, joints, and connective tissues: it’s about working with the nervous system to create an environment where the body can fully relax and be restored. When the nervous system feels supported, the entire body benefits.
Marissa is super excited to be starting her career as an RMT, bringing her passion, dedication, and personalized care to every client she works with.
